Alleged iPhone 6 Rear Shell Image Tips Plastic-Coated Design

An image of what is claimed to be the rear shell of the upcoming iPhone 6 model has been leaked online.
The image was originally leaked by Australian blog MacFixIt and published by 9to5mac, which said that the alleged rear shell belongs to the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model, which is one of the two iPhone models expected to launch this fall.
Reports have for a while been indicating thatApple might finally enter the screen size battle with the launch of the iPhone 6, and its rumoured two display size variants - 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch.
While the image does not offer much detail about the iPhone 6's rear, it does show two cut-outs at the top of the purported iPhone - one, for housing the rear camera with flash, and the other, for the Apple logo branding in the middle.
The leaked image, in-line with earlier reports, again shows plastic lines on the rumoured iPhone 6's back panel that are meant to separate the antenna elements.
The purported leaked image of the shell of the 4.7-inch variant is in-line with what has been a widely expected based on earlier leak. The iPhone 6 will take design cues from Apple's current generation iPod touch.
Further, 9to5mac notes that the leaked rear shell image indicates that the rear is covered by a plastic coating.
A recent report claimed that Apple's next iPhone, thought to be called the iPhone 6, would hit theshelves on September 19. The news came from a German website that claimed the local carrier Deutsche Telekom was telling its customer representatives the iPhone 6 has a September 19 launch date, in order to make its customers stick with the wireless provider.
It's worth noting that Apple is yet to announce the official launch date of its much anticipated next iPhone, and usually does not inform carriers in advance, leaving us to take the expected date with a pinch of salt.
A recent report also states that the Cupertino-based company is testing a higher screen resolution of 960x1740 pixels on at least one of the two alleged iPhone models (5.5-inch and 4.7-inch screen variant) due to debut this year. It has been also speculated that the next generation handset will come with a pixel-tripling (3X) mode.

LG G3 Specs to Compete with Samsung Group’s Galaxy 5; G3 Price, Release Date in Australia

South Korea's biggest phone manufacturers are likely to go head on in a smartphone flagship competition. Following Samsung's release of its newest "talk-of-the-town," the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG Electronics is set to launch its newest flagship the LG G3 that reportedly contains powerful features and specifications upon release.
LG G3's Grand Launch for a Bold Marketing Strategy?
In a report by the Wall Street Journal, LG Electronics plans to launch the G3 in a 2-day event to happen in May 27-28 in 6 different cities around the world including New York, San Francisco, London, Singapore, Seoul, and Istanbul respectively. The LG G3 launch is LG Electronics grandest so far, with the device's predecessor receiving fair attention being released in only one or two cities.
The LG G3's grand introduction in the mobile market simply make sense as LG Electronics may need a voracious approach in its marketing strategy to be able to compete to the success of the Galaxy S5 in terms of sales and popularity. While LG made quality devices for the Google Nexus line, it barely created a flagship under its banner that kept users and tech geeks alike talking for long compared to its rival Samsung, even though the LG G2, had been crowned gadget of the year in Stuff magazine awards back in 2013.

iPhone Owners Warned To Change Their Password After iOS Hack

Do you use the same password for a number of websites? If you do, it’s time to think of a new memorable phrase because sloppy passwords could leave you vulnerable to attack by hackers in search of a quick buck.
Technology security experts have advised Apple users to change their iCloud passwords after a number of iPhone users were subjected to digital extortion attempts.
Several iPhone owners in the UK and Australiareported falling victim to a hack which locked their cell and demanded they send AU$100 (£55) to a PayPal account.

Larger screen is expected in iPhone 6

The latest iPhone model is expected to be available in two versions, one with a 4.7-inch display and another with a 5.5-inch display.
Apple has not reacted much to the rise of the “phablet” – the 5- and 6-inch smartphone class, closer in size to a tablet – but that may change with the upcoming release of the iPhone 6. If the rumor mill holds any truth, the Cupertino company will release 4.7-inch and a 5.7-inch version of its latest smartphone this year.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 vs Galaxy S3 Mini – Specs and Price Comparison in

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 vs Galaxy S3 Mini – Specs and Price Comparison in

The third generation of Galaxy Ace was launched last year, but it didn’t “create” waves, because it wasn’t very different from the previous version. The good thing about this smartphone it was that it came with the new TouchWiz Nature UX interface. The Galaxy S3 Mini follows the follows it bigger brother’s steps, but its reduced dimension make it the perfect phone for any kind of user. We’ll compare both devices to see which one has more advantages.
Displays and designs
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 has a 4 inch TFT capacitive touch screen, and a resolution of 480×800 pixels, the same as the Galaxy S3 mini, which is equipped with a 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 weights 115 grams and it measures: 121.2×62.7×9.8 mm, while the Galaxy S3 mini weights 3.5 grams less, and it has these dimensions: 121.6x63x9.9 mm.
Hardware and operating systems

On the other hand, the Galaxy S3 mini was designed to function with a 1 GHz dual core cortex A9 processor + NovaThor U8420 chipset. The device has two variants of internal memories: 8 GB and 16 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB.

Apple's iPhone 6: Three Fresh Rumors

Apple's iPhone 6: Three Fresh Rumors
The Korea Herald reported this afternoon that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is testing an iPhone 6 prototype that does not have a bezel surrounding its display. If Apple is indeed going bezel-less for the newest iPhone, it could look more like a Samsung (OTCMKTS:SSNLF) Galaxy S4 than an iPhone 5S. This is only the latest report to mention the bezel-less approach: Last November, Bloomberg reported that Apple was developing two new iPhones -- one with a 4.7-inch screen, and one slightly larger at 5.5 inches -- with "glass that curves downward at the edges." In that case, the phones were reportedly scheduled for a late 2014 release.

Apple's iPhone 6 Is Coming: Here's What You Should Know

Apple's iPhone 6 Is Coming: Here's What You Should Know
Going into an iPhone launch there's never much doubt about whether Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL  ) latest addition to the key lineup will sell better than its predecessor. Where the confusion usually lies is in how much better the newest model will do than the one before it. While the 5s and 5c have performed about in line with analyst expectations, the 4s outperformed even most of the bullish projections. What can Apple investors expect from the iPhone 6 this year?

Motorola's Moto G, announced just six months ago in November 2013, quickly proved to be the best-selling smartphone in the company's history, thanks to its combination of a solid specification and an affordable price (£135/€169/$179 SIM-free at launch). Our review of the original Moto G (now available from around £119), concluded that "If you're looking to equip a workforce with a basic Android phone, it's arguably the best choice currently available".
Encouraged by the Moto G's success, Motorola today launched a two-pronged follow-up. With IDC estimating the average global selling price for a smartphone in 2013 at £199 ($337), the newMoto E pushes the smartphone price envelope into 'feature phone' territory at just £89. Meanwhile, the Moto G gets an upgrade, adding LTE connectivity and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Google Glass has about $80 in parts, sells for $1500 (for now)

Google Glass has about $80 in parts, sells for $1500 (for now)
Want to be part of the Google Glass Explorer program? You’ll need an invite (usually) and $1500. But according to TechInsights, Google’s wearable computer only has about $80 worth of parts.
Google tells the Wall Street Journal that the price estimate is “absolutely wrong,” and there are likely at least a few good reasons for that. But the good news is that Glass is basically still in the pre-release, beta testing phase. Even if TechInsights is overlooking a few things, it seems likely that Glass could sell for a few hundred dollars when it’s ready to hit the streets as a real, consumer-friendly product.

How your phone is revealing your location, regardless of privacy settings

Sensors in smartphones collect data which can be used to identify you and pinpoint your location, regardless of your privacy settings, study finds

Data gathered by smartphone sensors can be used to identify you, pinpoint your location and monitor your phone, irrespective of your privacy settings, new research has found.
Accelerometers, sensors used to track movement of smartphones, are used in countless apps, including pedometers, playing games and monitoring sleep. Research from the University of Illinois' Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering found that minuscule imperfections during the manufacturing process create a unique 'fingerprint' on the generated data.

Huawei CEO: Not surprised US spying on company

The founder and CEO of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, says that he was not surprised when he learned the NSA was spying on his company.

He further stated that such measures would not damage Huawei’s reputation among the company’s reputation or its relationship with its customers. According to reports back in March, documents that were disclosed by Edward Snowden showed that the NSA had an operation called “Shotgiant” aimed at Huawei.

BLU launches its first LTE phone: the Studio 5.0 LTE

BLU launches its first LTE phone: the Studio 5.0 LTE
Budget smartphone maker BLU has been offering low-cost, mid-range and entry-level Android phones in the United States for a few years. But while the company’s unlocked phones have been decent options for folks looking to save a few bucks by bringing their own device to a pre-paid carrier, up until now BLU hasn’t offered a model with 4G LTE support.
Now it does. Meet the BLU Studio 5.0 LTE.
blu studio 5.0 lte
The phone features a 5.0 inch, 960 x 540 pixel display, a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software.
It has a 2000mAh battery and BLU promises up to 24 hours of talk time. The phone also has an 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front-facing camera. There’s a microSD card slot in case the 4GB of built-in storage isn’t enough for you (which it probably isn’t).
For the most part, you’re looking at mid-range or entry-level specs, and the Studio 5.0 LTE has a price to match. It’s expected to sell for about $249, which isn’t a bad price for an unlocked phone. Sure, you could grab a Moto G for less, but you wouldn’t get LTE support.
About that LTE feature… the BLU Studio 5.0 LTE supports HSPA+ and 4G LTE on T-Mobile and MetroPCS networks. It won’t work with Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint. So unless you’re cool with the coverage offered by the nation’s 4th largest wireless network, you might want to look elsewhere, or wait for BLU to offer a phone with support for more networks.
